Pandit S N Shukla University, Shahdol

This university, run by the name of Pandit Shambhunath Shukla, a famous freedom fighter and Chief Minister of Vindhya Pradesh, is not only Shahdol division but the only university in the entire state, which has been upgraded as a university by the Madhya Pradesh government after the launch of the “National Higher Education Campaign”. . While a college, it was awarded “A” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council Bangalore (NACC) and Potential for Excellence status by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University Act has been issued in the Madhya Pradesh Extraordinary Gazette on 16-09-2016. It was duly established on 01 June 2017. As the first Vice-Chancellor of this University, Prof. Mukesh Kumar Tiwari took charge on 12 August 2017.

This university is such an excellent educational institution of the country and the state, whose goal is to provide graduate, postgraduate, M.Phil, P-HD, certificate, diploma, and solutions to the basic problems of the nation, complementary and inclusive of subjects related to social concerns. To develop global potential among the students by providing an environment for physical research with high level basic and employment oriented courses.

In this institute, all facilities are available for study of all subjects and valuable research (P-HD) with social concerns under the Faculty of Arts, Commerce and Science, Certificate and Diploma courses, Psychology, Music, Philosophy, Physics (Hons), Chemistry (Hons), Zoology (Hons), Master of Social Welfare courses and M.B.A. Courses are being started in the University from this session 2020-21. Teaching by dedicated, qualified and efficient teachers is the specialty of the University. This university is known in the entire state for timely declaration of examination and examination results. Strong laboratories, advanced libraries, extensive sports facilities are the specialties of the university. There are 121 academic and 104 non-academic posts sanctioned in the university. 108 subjects at postgraduate level and Ph.D. For this, 11 subjects are operated.

The university has 26 acres of land to the east in which the Shahdol campus of the university operates. Arts, commerce and sports classes will be conducted in Shahdol campus. To be upgraded as a university, 44 acres of land has been provided by the district administration on the banks of Sarfa river in Nawalpur village in picturesque natural environment, where the university’s administrative building, academic building, study center, library, women’s and men’s hostel. Canteen etc. have been duly inaugurated and B.S.-C., M.S.-C. and M.B.A. Classes will be conducted in this campus from this session itself. An additional land of 50 acres has been allotted in Nawalpur for the university. The lush green picturesque surroundings of both the campuses of the university provide a conducive environment for the students to study.

The university plans to start employment-oriented certificate courses in coordination with other national institutions, in which students can get employment-oriented education along with studies.
